Maintenance Manager

Randstad Staffing is hiring for a Maintenance Manager in Rock Island, IL. In this role you will be responsible for leading and developing a Maintenance team in their performance of day-to-day operations. Duties include working with employees, providing constructive feedback and coaching, organizing workflow and analyzing the efficiency of the maintenance processes. This position is accountable for achieving maintenance results in a safe manner that aligns with the company's values and objectives. Required Education, Experience and Skills:

• High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution and 5+ years maintenance experience in a manufacturing facility or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3+ years’ supervisory, team lead, and / or project leadership experience
• 5+ years’ experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, boiler systems, electrical systems, reading schematics, and diagnosing plc errors). 
• Understanding of CMMS software or equivalent systems
• Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and additional hours, as required by business needs.

Preferred Education, Experience and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred (i.e. Business/Operations Management, Engineering or related field).
• Active Boiler’s license
• Demonstrated strong communication skills.
• Basic computer skills with demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
• Experience in Amtech and CTI
• strong process/business acumen. Results-driven.
• Demonstrated leadership skills.
• Conflict management skills.
• Relationship-building skills – ability to work effectively with all levels in the organization.
• strong attention to detail, measuring with accuracy, and tool or equipment knowledge

Responsibilities

• Team Leadership & Development: Oversee day-to-day maintenance operations by coaching, mentoring, and scheduling staff, while managing performance, training, and knowledge-sharing to cultivate talent.

• Safety & Compliance: Drive a culture of safety by leading observation-based programs, conducting safety huddles, participating in incident investigations, and ensuring compliance with budget, inspection, and legal standards.

• Continuous Improvement & Operational Excellence: Lead problem-solving efforts and sustainability initiatives, manage organizational projects, and proactively escalate issues to minimize customer impact.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner seamlessly with internal departments, facility leadership, floor teams, and external contractors to ensure smooth operations and support company culture initiatives.
