Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg|Tele

Registered Nurse – Medical/Pulmonary

Schedule - Shift: 12-hour nights (18:45–07:15) - Weekend requirement: 3 weekends (total of 6 weekend shifts) every 6 weeks

Assignment Details - Contract Length: 13 weeks - Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week

Requirements - Minimum 2 years RN experience - NC or Compact license pending - Required certifications: BCLS/BLS and NIH/NIHSS - Experience with dysrhythmia interpretation & management, tracheostomy care, chest tube management, BiPAP/CPAP and non-invasive airway management - Must pass EKG testing prior to start - Experience with EPIC and Pyxis charting systems

Roles & Responsibilities - Provide direct patient care in a medical/pulmonary unit - Monitor and assess patient status, including vital signs and response to treatment - Administer medications and treatments as prescribed - Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care - Educate patients and families on care plans and health management - Participate in rapid response and code teams as necessary

Compliance / Notes - Orientation: 24 hours - COVID-19 vaccine: Not required; Flu vaccine required with exemptions allowed - Candidate must complete lab/testing within 48 hours after signing; all required testing to be completed within 48 hours - RTO Policy: 7 days max RTO; no RTO during first week; pre-approval needed for all RTO - Must work 2 of 3 major holidays - Local candidates within 50 miles may have a lower rate applied.
