House Manager

Reports to: Director of Housing Summary The Courage HouseManagerisprimarilyresponsible forthe case management andimplementation oftreatment planningforyouth in the program ages 12-17 years old, ensuring services are provided in alignment withCourage+ 'smission and values andtheWisconsin state group home licensing regulations. This role focuses on building strong, supportive relationships with residents, coordinating individualized plans of care, and fostering a trauma-informed environment that promotes healing, growth, and empowermentthrough overseeing daily house and program operations. We are seeking someonewho is highly organized;withexcellenttime management skills,who is detail-oriented, compassionate, and committed to making a meaningful impact in the lives of LGBTQ+ youthin the out of home care, child welfare system throughout the state of Wisconsin. This is a full-time, salaried position with Courage+. The Courage HouseManagerwill typically be scheduled for 1st and/or 2nd shift coverage once or twice per week, with the possibility of occasional 3rd shift coverage as needed. Theremainderof theweekly hours (ensuring a minimum of 40 total) areself-directedhours to be dedicated to resident case management, overseeing referrals and intakes,participatingin care team meetings,andmeeting anyadditionalneeds of thehouse,program,and/or residents. Essential Functions Leadership Create andmaintainstaff schedules to ensure adequate coverage and program needs. Attending onceamonth Leadership Team Meetings and quarterly QRTP meetings. Ensure compliance withallCourage+ policiesand procedures, state licensing standards, and program requirements. Internal audits forresidentand personnelfiles for quality assurance and compliance with contracts, licensing, and funding sources. Obtain and track at least 24 hours of continuing education annually; complete alladditionalrequiredtrainings. Serve as Manager Emergency Contact one week per month on a rotational basis, responding to crisesand/or emergenciesas needed. Collaborate with and provide feedback to the Director of Housing on program performance and alignment with Courage+ mission and values. Monitor referrals through SYNC and other platforms; communicate with social workers ina timelyand professional manner. Conduct orientation and initial training for onboarding Youth Development Coordinators. Ensure completion of all month end filing, billing, and record keeping. Supervise in-house volunteers to ensure compliance with all Courage+ policies and staterequiredregulations. Resident Case Management Schedule and conduct resident interviews and intakes for placement. Meet withyouth individually at least once per month to review case management, goals, and program compliance. Facilitate and keep regulatorycomplianceup to date onresidentinitialassessment,treatmentplansand goals within the first30 daysof intake and every 3 months thereafter, per licensing standards. Build supportive, therapeutic relationships with youth to minimize crises and modelappropriate supervision, boundaries, and communication. De-escalate crises when they occur, ensuringtimelyandaccuratedocumentation ofincident reports. Collaborate with residents’ case managers to stay updated on safety plans, education, and mental health needs; attend care team meetings, IEP meetings, and other required meetings. Oversee and document residents’ medication administration accurately;monitorrefills through weekly counts. Provide transportation using the company vehicle as needed for resident appointments, activities, and other supports. House Management Facilitatemonthly resident house meetings to address community concerns and foster shared accountability. Observe, assess, and document resident activityin accordance withagency and program standards (shift logs, incident reports, crisis plans, etc.). Maintain the home environment in alignment with agency and licensing standards; promptly report maintenance issues to the Director of Housing. Independently address routine maintenance and upkeep within your ability (e.g., lawn care, snow removal) and coordinate with a plumber or maintenance company when outside support is needed. Oversee food inventory, menu planning, and grocery ordering while staying within budget. Maintain confidentialityand professionalismin all written and verbal communications. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Sociology, Special Education, Psychology, Counseling and Guidance, or Criminal Justice preferred. Minimumofthreeyears of supervisory experience preferred. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, including the ability to give and receive feedback professionally. Must be capable of transporting youth and hold a valid driver’s license. Must be at least 21 years of age. First Aid and CPR certification preferred. Successful completion of background check, physical, and TB testrequired.
