Senior Bankruptcy Associate Attorney

Overview Our client, a well-established law firm, is seeking a Senior Bankruptcy Associate Attorney with 10-20+ years of experience to join its Dallas office. This role involves handling complex bankruptcy and restructuring matters, advising a diverse client base, and taking ownership of cases from start to finish. The ideal candidate is highly experienced, independent, and comfortable managing sophisticated legal matters with minimal supervision. Responsibilities Handle complex Chapter 7, Chapter 11, and Chapter 13 bankruptcy matters. Represent debtors, creditors, lenders, and other stakeholders in bankruptcy proceedings. Draft and review motions, pleadings, briefs, and settlement agreements. Appear in court for hearings, mediations, and negotiations. Provide strategic counsel on bankruptcy, restructuring, and insolvency issues. Manage cases independently from intake through resolution. Conduct legal research and ensure compliance with federal bankruptcy laws. Collaborate with internal teams on related litigation and transactional matters. Maintain and develop strong client relationships. Qualifications Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school. Active license to practice law in Texas. Strong knowledge of U.S. bankruptcy laws, procedures, and court systems. Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Experience 10+ years of bankruptcy law experience required. Extensive experience handling complex bankruptcy and restructuring matters. Background in a law firm environment preferred. Experience working with creditors, lenders, or corporate clients is a plus. Skills Excellent legal writing, drafting, and research skills. Strong courtroom presence and advocacy skills.
