Responsibilities

Collect blood samples from patients using established phlebotomy techniques, including pediatric and geriatric populations.

Prepare specimens for laboratory testing following proper procedures and safety protocols.

Explain procedures to patients to create a trusting and comfortable environment.

Maintain accurate records and documentation of collected specimens and patient information.

Ensure a safe, clean, and professional environment at all times.

Demonstrate leadership behaviors and focus on process excellence and confidentiality.

Perform assigned tasks reliably and efficiently in a fast-paced setting.

Display flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed, with reliable transportation to the work site.

Required Skills

Exceptional phlebotomy skills, including experience with pediatric and geriatric patients.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.

Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Keyboard and data entry proficiency.

Additional Skills & Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required; medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.

Phlebotomy certification preferred, required in California, Nevada, and Washington.

Minimum of 6 months of direct phlebotomy experience required; over 1 year preferred.

Reliable transportation to the work site; candidates should list their home city and commute time (within 20-25 minutes).

Must be flexible and available to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Ability to provide error-free work in a fast-paced environment and maintain professionalism at all times.
