Hardscape Construction Foreman

Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 1-2 crew members and operate equipment to ensure all assigned projects are well-maintained and executed.
• Perform tasks such as segmental retaining walls, paver patios, natural stonework, edging, concrete, carpentry, grading/excavation, and drainage.
• Report directly to the Manager of Landscaping for any concerns, questions, issues, and customer requests.
• Handle the physical demands of the job, including constant movement, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling, and frequently operating machinery.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions with exposure to the elements, moderate to heavy noise, and tools and machines used in outdoor construction.

Qualifications

• Current and valid PA Driver's license.
• Competence in driving a commercial truck.
• 1-2 years of experience in a leadership role.
• 3-4 years minimum of Hardscape experience, including building outdoor kitchens, fireplaces, fire pits, patios, retaining walls, walkways, and driveways.
• Masonry skills (preferred).
• Ability to lift 50 lbs or more.
• NCMA & ICPI certifications (preferred).
• Class A CDL (preferred).

Expectations

• Work approximately 40-55 hours per week.
• Expertise in operating all landscaping/hardscaping equipment, both powered and non-powered.
• Adept in operating all relevant heavy machinery.
• Expertise in segmental retaining walls, paver patios, natural stonework, edging, concrete, carpentry, grading/excavation, and drainage.
• Proficiency in onsite small equipment repairs.
• Strong time management and problem-solving skills.
• Reliability and timeliness.
• Ability to provide clear written and verbal instructions.
