Job Details

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms with necessary instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies
• Establish and maintain sterile fields throughout surgical procedures
• Assist surgeons and operating room staff by passing instruments and supplies during procedures
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team to ensure efficient workflow
• Perform sponge, needle, and instrument counts according to facility protocols
• Clean, organize, and restock surgical instruments and equipment
• Assist with patient positioning and operating room setup
• Adhere to infection control, patient safety, and surgical standards
• Maintain accurate documentation related to surgical procedures and supplies

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program
• Current CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of recent Surgical Tech experience
• Current BLS Certification required
• Strong knowledge of sterile technique and surgical instrumentation
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced operating room environment
