If you are experienced in phlebotomy and enjoy working directly with patients, this is an excellent opportunity to advance your career in healthcare laboratory services.Responsibilities– Draw blood samples from patients of all ages, including pediatric and geriatric populations, ensuring safety and accuracy – Prepare collected specimens for laboratory testing according to established procedures – Verify patient demographic information and ensure proper labeling of specimens in the presence of the patient – Maintain accurate records and documentation of specimen collection and processing – Create a professional and comfortable environment for patients, fostering trust and confidence – Follow all safety, confidentiality, and workplace policies – Perform specimen collection in various settings, including doctor's offices, patient service centers, and other clinical locations as needed – Respond flexibly to staffing needs, including working weekends, holidays, and overtime – Demonstrate excellent customer service skills, communicating openly with patients, staff, and colleagues – Exercise good judgment and decision-making based on established procedures in a high-volume setting – Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to dress code and safety standardsRequired Skills– Strong phlebotomy skills with experience in pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections – Ability to perform accurate, error-free work in a fast-paced environment – Excellent communication and customer service skills – Ability to work independently with minimal supervision – Proficiency in keyboard/data entry – Knowledge of specimen handling, labeling, and documentation proceduresAdditional Skills & Requirements– High school diploma or equivalent; medical assistant or paramedic training preferred – Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington – 1-3 years of phlebotomy experience, with at least 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred – Experience with high-volume specimen collection and processing – Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and clean driving record if applicable – Flexible schedule to accommodate multiple locations, including weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts – Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently in a busy clinical environmentThis is a rewarding opportunity for dedicated phlebotomists to make a tangible difference in patient care while working with a collaborative healthcare team.
