Quality Control Specialist

Position Title: Quality Control Specialist FSLA Status: Exempt or Union Department: Mechanical and/or Plumbing Division Reports to: Division Manager The Quality Control Specialistis responsible forimplementing and enforcing Lee Mechanical’s QA/QC program onsite for data center construction projects. This position ensures all work meets contract requirements, approved submittals, and industry standards. This role is field-focused and works closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, and installation teams to drive quality execution, minimize rework, and support successful project turnover in mission-critical environments. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Implement andmaintainproject-specific QA/QC plans onsite Perform daily field inspections across all MEPF scopes Verify workcomplies withdrawings, specifications, submittals, and codes Track and manage inspection/test plans (ITPs) and quality documentation Identifynon-conforming work and lead corrective action resolution Maintaindeficiency logs, inspection reports, and turnover documentation Coordinate inspections, testing, and commissioning activities Ensure materials and installations meet approved submittals Work with field teams to reinforce quality expectations and standards Support project closeout,punchlistcompletion, and owner turnover Interface with clients, third-party inspectors, and commissioning agents Promote a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement Key Competencies/Qualifications: Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Working knowledge of MEPF systems and construction processes Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications Experience with QA/QC procedures, inspections, and commissioning support Strong organizational and communication skills Proficiencyin Microsoft Office and QA/QC documentation tools Familiarity with industry standards (SMACNA, ASHRAE, NEC) preferred 5+ years of construction experience; QC or field leadership experience preferred Data center or mission-critical experience preferred Ability to work with Company computers and computer programs as they relate to the job Able to work well with other team members Physical Requirements: Frequent walking, standing, climbing, and navigating active job sites Ability to work in construction environments and access all areas of the project Ability to use computers and generate reports May require extended hours to support inspections and project milestones Ability to travel to project sites as needed Reasonable Accommodation Statement To accomplish this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform, with or without reasonable accommodation, each essential duty satisfactorily.
