Departmental Analyst 12 - HS Aging Network Support Section

Overview MDHHS provides opportunities, services, and programs that promote a healthy, safe, and stable environment for residents to become self‑sufficient. This role is a key resource for the development and maintenance of Multi‑Year Plans used by all 16 Area Agencies on Aging (AAAs). Responsibilities Develop and maintain the Multi‑Year Plan/Annual Implementation Plan used by all 16 AAAs. Oversee, monitor, and provide technical assistance to three or more regional AAAs that administer social, health‑related, and nutrition services to older adults. Identify issues that require approval from the Commission on Services to the Aging under the Older Michiganian’s Act and the federal Older Americans Act. Provide policy interpretation to local agency policy boards and executive directors for assigned regions. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in any major. Three years of professional experience, including one year at the required state service level, for a Departmental Analyst 12 classification. Equivalent experience for Departmental Analyst 9–12: completion of high school and at least two years of full‑time active‑duty experience at or above the E‑6 level in the uniformed services may substitute for the education requirement. Location & Work Arrangement Office: 400 S Pine St, Lansing, MI. Remote or hybrid work is considered only within Michigan. Selected candidates will complete the work within Michigan and confirm the schedule at interview. Equipment & Conditions of Employment Employees will receive a computer for state work; phones may also be provided.
