Job Shift: Night (7pm-7am) Full-time position in the United States of America. Responsibilities Performs the Nursing Process (assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation) in clinical care using evidence-based practice; uses analytical/critical thinking to ensure individualized care; coordinates care through effective partnerships to achieve optimal patient care outcomes. Provides relationship-based, patient-centered care consistent with population-specific characteristics (e.g., age, gender, disease) and adapts service delivery to reflect cultural diversity. Conducts bedside shift reports; keeps the patient and significant others updated, focusing the patient’s goals in the plan of care. Coordinates the delivery and documentation of safe, quality patient care that promotes the professional care delivery model. Demonstrates teamwork and collaboration by practicing in a fiscally responsible manner, promoting recruitment and retention of all healthcare team members. Participates in and supports performance improvement initiatives, inclusive of all stakeholders, research utilization, and shared governance at all system levels. Serves as a preceptor or mentor for other professional nurses (and staff or students from all disciplines) to ensure a qualified workforce and promote a healthy work environment. Promotes evidence-based practice, nursing research and performance improvement; participates in value analysis related to patient care products. Upholds all health care system / organizational policies, procedures, clinical competencies, legal, regulatory and accreditation requirements; ensures compliance with goals such as TJC Patient Safety Goals and Wellstar Health Systems safety absolutes. Participates in data collection, poses relevant clinical questions to advance evidence-based practice; proactively plans for patient care across the continuum during direct care. Participates in the development of protocols and procedures with care managers and team members to achieve best practice outcomes; supports efficient use of human and material resources. Complies with all WellStar Health System policies, work standards, and code of conduct. Qualifications Associate, Diploma, or Bachelor of Nursing (preferred). RN – Registered Nurse (single state license) or RN-Compact (multi-state Compact). Trauma Nurse: TNCC – Trauma Nurse Core Course, ATCN – Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses (Certified), or TNCC-P – Trauma Nurse Core Course – Provisional (18 months). #J-18808-Ljbffr Wellstar Health System
