Job Responsibilities Open to US, Canada, and UK only. No sponsorship available. This position is very heavy programming and data review for RW data analyses. Experience with commercial databases such as Optum, HealthVerity or PharmMetrics is important. Support protocol and SAP review in support of epidemiologists. ICD knowledge and experience is also important. Roles within the statistical programming job family are responsible for developing programs and providing statistical programming support for epidemiologists or clients to address needs for sourcing, organizing, interpreting complex data sets utilizing codes and programs. This includes developing codes that create analysis datasets, tables, and figures, evaluating programming processes, and suggesting revisions that increase productivity. Individual contributors with responsibility in a professional or technical discipline may manage two or fewer employees. They may direct the work of lower level professionals or manage processes and programs. The majority of time is spent contributing to the design, implementation or delivery of processes, programs, and policies, using knowledge and skills typically acquired through advanced education. Minimum Requirements Data experience: eHR, Claims Data: Optum, HealthVerity, or IQVIA PharmMetrics. Nice to have: MarketScan, VA data, Medicaid, Medicare. Programming languages: SAS or R; SQL experience required. Programmatic cohort derivation experience. Index date definition. Modeling/Programming: GLM, logistic, Cox, propensity score matching, incidence computation. Prepare data specs and develop a strong understanding of study protocols. Review data and program outputs against protocol requirements, flag issues, and apply solutions. Ability to address messy data, identify issues and possible solutions. Knowledge of ICD clinical terminology, OMOP CDM, and transformation of healthcare data into a common format. Ideal: AI/ML modeling, GitHub versioning, use of AI/ML for LLM and workflow scaffolding. Qualifications Undergraduate or master’s degree in a scientific or statistical discipline such as biostatistics, mathematics or epidemiology. Extensive programming experience in SAS, R, Python or other required software in a RW environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to read, write, speak and understand English. Benefits & Compensation Salary range: $80,600.00 - $145,000.00.
