Overview Department/Unit: Medicine, Surgery, Mental Health PRN Work Shift: Day (United States of America) Salary Range: $86,650.99 - $134,309.04 The Nurse Clinician is a nurse who, through clinical experience, study and supervise practice in patient care at the masters or doctoral level, has gained expertise in a specific specialty area of patient care services. The Nurse Clinician demonstrates the advanced knowledge and skills required for specialty nursing. The Nurse Clinician is responsible and accountable for the development and application of specialty practice standards, staff development, regulatory compliance and research to enhance the quality of care to the patient and the patient’s family. As an advanced practitioner, the Nurse Clinician is essential to the management of complex patient and systems related issues. Responsibilities Develop and apply specialty practice standards Provide staff development and supervision in patient care practices Ensure regulatory compliance and participate in quality and safety initiatives Engage in research to enhance the quality of care for patients and families Support management of complex patient and health-system related issues as an advanced practitioner Qualifications Practitioner is a nurse with clinical experience, study, and supervision of practice at the masters or doctoral level Gained expertise in a specific specialty area of patient care services Demonstrates advanced knowledge and skills required for specialty nursing Thank you for your interest in Albany Med Health System!
