Laborer

The Laborer will be responsible for assisting with the preparation, installation, and maintenance of asphalt. This individual will work alongside skilled workers and operators to ensure efficient, high-quality, and safe completion of paving projects.

Essential functions include maintaining a zero-incident safety environment, ensuring job site readiness and efficient material flow, supporting paving operations, delivering quality surface preparation and installation, adhering to all safety protocols, maintaining tools and equipment, and contributing to on-time, high-quality project delivery.

Requirements, education, and experience include the ability to work flexible schedules, a high school diploma or GED preferred, previous paving or construction experience preferred but not required, basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment, demonstrated strong work ethic and commitment to safety, ability to follow instructions, work collaboratively, and contribute to team success, valid driver's license and reliable transportation, and must be authorized to work in the United States.

Other duties may include extensive travel up to 100% to project sites across New Hampshire, based on operational needs. This position works both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions, involving heavy physical work, including moving objects weighing up to 100 pounds or more. The role requires working on or near moving mechanical parts and loud equipment. Employees must be able to sit or stand for extended periods and perform physical activities such as lifting, bending, kneeling, squatting, climbing, walking, reaching, driving, and repetitive motions. Work is performed on active construction sites near moving mechanical parts and loud equipment. The role requires good hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity, and the ability to maintain awareness and balance on uneven terrain. Employees must be able to communicate effectively in noisy environments and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
