With an aging society, obesity and diabetes on the rise, and an uptick in surgical procedures, the number of patients with non-healing wounds that would benefit from expert care is dramatically increasing. As a result, the company is working to provide our differentiated, quality outcomes to as many patients that would benefit through our out-patient clinic partnerships.Reporting to the Program Director, the Hyperbaric Safety Director administers hyperbaric oxygen therapy to patients as prescribed by the Hyperbaric Provider. This position is responsible for the safe and effective operation of the hyperbaric chamber(s) and related support systems, as well as for the safe delivery of hyperbaric oxygen therapy to the hyperbaric patient. The position is also responsible for the day-to-day maintenance on the hyperbaric chamber(s) and related support systems and serves as the point person for assessment of materials that are appropriate for use in and around hyperbaric chambers.All Healogics employees must perform their job responsibilities according to all Healogics policies, Hospital policies, as well as to accrediting organizations, federal and state regulation, and to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) guidelines, as applicable.Essential Functions/Responsibilities:Under the direction of the RN/Provider, provides wound-related patient care according to Basic Life Support (BLS) and approved and hospital protocols, Policies & ProceduresAssist in vein clinic as assigned after Healogics Vein Clinic training completedMay assist with intake and discharge.May provide assistance with case management under the direction of RN, in accordance with state regulationsGathers patient information.Gathers necessary equipment and supplies for the RN or provider.Reports quality of care issues to Clinical Nurse Manager.Communicates as needed with all team members regarding therapeutic interventions, to ensure quality of care.Performs hyperbaric oxygen therapy related duties, as needed, after completing the required Healogics hyperbaric trainingMay perform hyperbaric safety director duties after completing the required Healogics hyperbaric safety director trainingMay function as a Documentation Assistant (scribe) in accordance with Healogics policyPerforms other duties as delegated.Required Education, Experience and Credentials:High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED)Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program/state approved educational programCurrent Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in the state of practice -to maintain throughout the duration of employment in the positionTwo (2) or more years’ experience as LPN/LVN, to include one (1) or more years in SNF or LTACH settingWound care experience preferredRequired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Demonstrated competency in BLS (Basic Life Support)Demonstrated organization, prioritization and time-management skillsBasic knowledge of regulatory/accrediting requirements for healthcare organizations.Strong interpersonal, listening, as well as oral and written communication skillsCustomer service skills and follow-up skillsAbility to multi-task and to work in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work with others and in a team environmentProblem solving skillsAbility to stay calm in all situationsWorking knowledge of computerized nursing systemsPhysical Demands:Being in a stationary position for extended periods of time (4 hours or more)Viewing computer screen for extended periods of time (4 hours or more)Keying frequently on a computer for 4 hours or moreMoving aboutReadingCommunicatingWritingColor perceptionClose, distance and peripheral visionLifting/moving items up to 20 poundsLifting/moving items up to 75 pounds with equipment assistancePushing/pullingBending/stoopingReaching/grasping/touching with handsWork Environment:Normal office environmentPrimarily indoors environmentPatient care environmentExposure to Hazards (blood borne pathogens, toxic chemicals, flammable explosive gases, etc)Exposure to mechanical equipmentProximity to moving objectsThis range is an estimate, based on potential employee qualifications: education, experience, geography as well as operational needs and other considerations permitted by law.If you are a current employee, to submit a job application, you need to apply as an internal candidate in Workday via the “Jobs Hub”. #J-18808-Ljbffr Healogics
