Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Director of Pharmacy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An interim or permanent role is available for an experienced Pharmacy Manager at a retail pharmacy located in Ogdensburg, NY. This position requires strong leadership and operational skills to manage pharmacy activities, ensure regulatory compliance, and support patient care services.

Responsibilities:

• Register with the state board of pharmacy as the supervising pharmacist or pharmacist in charge.
• Maintain the pharmacy’s compliance with federal, state, board of pharmacy regulations, and company policies.
• Oversee the entire pharmacy operation to meet financial goals including budget management, payroll, scheduling, inventory control, and third-party administration.
• Manage pharmacy support staff, including performance reviews, training, and ensuring policy compliance.
• Participate in business development activities within the store and community.
• Provide patient counseling on drug usage, dosage, interactions, and monitor therapy compliance.
• Lead patient-centered services such as immunization, medication therapy management (MTM), and wellness programs.
• Maintain a clean, organized pharmacy environment meeting legal and company standards.
• Complete required continuing education programs.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

• Valid New York State pharmacist license.
• Immunization certification with confidence to administer all vaccines.
• Recent experience as a Pharmacy Manager preferred.
• Strong organizational and supervisory skills.

Location:

• Ogdensburg, New York

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Saturday: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Sunday: Closed

This contract opportunity spans 3 to 6 months if interim, with the possibility of permanent placement. Relocation assistance is offered for permanent candidates.
