Job Title: Technical Writer I
Job Location - Houston, TX
Duration - 06 months Description Work with R&D Engineers, Technical Support Engineers, and other stakeholders to create and publish the materials needed for the release of new and/or upgraded *** medical devices. Develop engineering-level knowledge of *** medical devices down to their electrical and mechanical subsystems. Develop in-depth knowledge of technical publication customer needs and attend to them. Create and publish detailed technical materials in well-written, precise, and clear English for global distribution and meet *** quality requirements. Work with other technical writers, when required, to create technical documentation. Help with the creation of our monthly technical newsletter and other documents per business needs.

- Ensure project deadlines are met.
- 5 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in technical publications for electronic equipment.
- Experience in the creation of documents for print and digital media.
- Strong working knowledge of different document creation tools such as Adobe, Flare, and/or Oxygen.
- Excellent communication skills.
- 6 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in the medical device industry.
- Experience with HTML and CSS.
- Minimum: BA in English
- Preferred: BA in English with a concentration in composition and rhetoric, or digital humanities.
- Preferred: BA in English and certification or degree in Technical Writing.
