Why This Opportunity Stands Out Highly respected Am Law platform with a strong national reputation Collaborative and professional culture with long‑term stability Sophisticated conflicts and professional responsibility work Meaningful visibility with attorneys and firm leadership Strong compensation and comprehensive benefits package Opportunity to work on complex intake, lateral onboarding, and ethical analysis matters Firm invests heavily in employee wellness, professional development, and long‑term career growth Compensation & Schedule Base salary range: $145,000 to $180,000 annually depending on experience Hybrid schedule with approximately 2 days onsite in Chicago The firm will also consider fully remote candidates for the right background and experience level Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, 401(k) with profit sharing, generous PTO, wellness programs, tuition reimbursement, and more Responsibilities Analyze and resolve conflicts‑of‑interest related to new business intake, matter openings, and lateral attorney onboarding Conduct complex conflicts research utilizing internal systems and external databases Recommend and implement conflict‑resolution strategies, ethical walls, disclosures, and consent processes Review Outside Counsel Guidelines and engagement letters for conflicts‑related provisions Draft conflict waivers, disclosures, and supporting documentation Partner closely with attorneys, firm leadership, and internal stakeholders regarding risk and ethics issues Assist with educating attorneys and staff regarding conflicts procedures and professional responsibility obligations Qualifications Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school Approximately 3+ years of direct conflicts and/or professional responsibility experience within a mid‑to‑large law firm environment strongly preferred Prior experience handling conflicts analysis, new business intake, ethical review, lateral conflicts, or related professional responsibility matters within a law firm environment required Active Illinois bar admission preferred; however, the firm may consider candidates admitted in reciprocal jurisdictions, including Minnesota and other reciprocal jurisdictions, for the right conflicts‑focused background and experience level Prior private practice attorney experience is a plus Experience utilizing conflicts and intake systems such as Intapp or similar platforms preferred Strong analytical, communication, and problem‑solving abilities Ability to manage sensitive matters with professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment Comfortable operating in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment with competing priorities This is an outstanding opportunity for a conflicts attorney seeking sophisticated work, strong compensation, meaningful visibility, and the backing of a highly respected national law firm platform. #J-18808-Ljbffr Permanent Placements LLC
