Respiratory Therapist

Respiratory TherapistShriners Children's Ohio is seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will bring experience in pediatric critical care respiratory therapy and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.Hours: This per diem position will work 12-hour shifts on nights.Key Responsibilities:Provides primary respiratory care to patients from admission through their discharge under a physician's orderCommunicates verbal and/or written patient and departmental information/special needs to pertinent persons in a timely and appropriate manner (i.e. rounds)Documents accurate, specific, complete patient care data according to policy and procedure guidelinesAssures safe, cost effective operation and function of pertinent equipment and utilizes appropriate infection control techniques in all areasRequired Qualifications:Associate Degree - Respiratory TherapyRT license in state of practiceCertified Respiratory TherapistBasic Life Support (BLS) certification (within 30 days)Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (within six months)Preferred Qualifications:2 Years respiratory therapy experience in an ICU setting2 Years pediatric experienceRegistered Respiratory TherapistCompensation is determined based on years of relevant experience and departmental equity.
