Social Service Assistant

At Serenity Estates of Morris, we're committed to providing exceptional care and services to our residents, and we're seeking a Social Service Assistant to join our team. As a Social Service Assistant, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the emotional, social, and spiritual well-being of our residents.
About the Role:
As a Social Service Assistant, you'll:
Provide emotional support and counseling to residents, families, and staff members
Facilitate socialization and community-building activities to promote resident engagement and connection
Assess and develop individualized care plans to address residents' social, emotional, and spiritual needs
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care and coordination of services
Document resident interactions, progress, and concerns in a timely and accurate manner
Requirements:
0 years of experience (entry-level or recent graduates welcome!)
Non-degree or equivalent experience in social work, counseling, or a related field (or willingness to learn and grow with us!)
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Familiarity with social services, gerontology, and/or long-term care (or willingness to learn)
