Sr Controllership Analyst

Job Description As a mid‑level Professional in Program Accounting, the successful candidate will partner closely with customer business teams, program management, and accounting to forecast and manage long‑term engineering contracts. This includes supporting financial forecasts (short‑range outlooks, formal forecasts, annual plan) and periodic program reviews (EACs). Working in a team environment, the individual will develop the knowledge and experience to advise Engineering Program Teams on proper accounting for long‑term projects and the related financial implications. The team continually evaluates our standard processes, so there are many opportunities to contribute to improvements and demonstrate technical skills. Key Responsibilities Track budget and program financial data, analyze program risk Learn the principles of accounting for long‑term engineering contracts Work with program teams to ensure proper project set‑up Coordinate the monthly process of updating project Estimate to Complete in SAP Communicate with Program Teams to guide and resolve issues related to Program Accounting Support external and internal audits and balance sheet reviews Implement and manage change when necessary to meet team goals Conduct financial due diligence and apply accounting procedures while gathering and analyzing data Seek methods to enhance overall efficiency and performance Think globally, work closely with support teams, and other regions Share knowledge and ensure consistency as additional site support is brought under the Phoenix RFC Review, analyze, streamline and standardize department processes, work instructions, and business practices Qualifications You Must Have 4 years of directly related accounting/financial analysis experience U.S. person status (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or protected status under asylum or refugee status) We Value Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and business processes Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to quickly and positively influence others Ability to deal tactfully and confidently with customers or personnel at all organizational levels in independent and often stressful and ambiguous situations Project management skills; ability to effectively participate and/or lead projects/teams Effective listening skills and flexibility in approach to solutions Strong analytical, problem‑solving, decision‑making, and organizational skills Innovative focus on process improvement Ability to work flexible hours to meet monthly/quarterly closing requirements Experience in Excel and Access SAP experience preferred U.S. Person Requirements Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, the candidate must be a U.S. person, which is defined as a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or having protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.
