Job Title: Automation Engineer
Location: Arizona
Experience: 3 7 Years (Preferred) Industry: Medical Device Manufacturing Department: Automation Engineering
Position Summary
We are seeking an Automation Engineer to support the development, implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of automated equipment used in medical device manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain PLC/HMI programs for automated manufacturing equipment.
- Support automated assembly machines, robotic systems, conveyor systems, and inspection equipment.
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and automation control system issues.
- Assist with equipment installation, commissioning, debugging, and startup.
- Support automation upgrades and continuous improvement projects.
- Integrate sensors, actuators, vision systems, and motion control components.
- Perform equipment performance testing and troubleshooting.
- Support IQ/OQ/PQ execution and validation documentation.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance teams to resolve equipment issues.
- Maintain electrical drawings, PLC backups, equipment manuals, and technical documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Automation Engineering.
- 3+ years of experience in industrial automation.
- Experience working with automated equipment in medical device manufacturing preferred.
- Knowledge of Allen-Bradley or Siemens PLC programming.
- Familiarity with HMIs, servo motors, robotics, and vision inspection systems.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and troubleshoot industrial control panels.
- Basic knowledge of GMP, ISO 13485, and regulated manufacturing documentation.
Key Skills : PLC Programming, HMI, Electrical Troubleshooting, Robotics, Sensors, Pneumatics, Machine Vision, Automated Assembly, IQ/OQ/PQ.
