Job Title: Patient Transportation Driver

Status: Full Time, Non-Exempt
Schedule: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM | Rotating weekends On-Call

We are looking for compassionate, dependable team members who understand the importance of empathy, professionalism, patience, and dignity when working with behavioral health patients

 

As a Patient Transportation Driver, you will safely transport patients to and from hospitals, appointments, residences, and other approved locations while helping create a calm, respectful, and supportive experience for those in our care.

 

Responsibilities

• Safely transport patients to approved destinations.

• Provide compassionate and professional interactions with patients and staff.

• Follow all safety procedures, defensive driving practices, and traffic laws.

• Complete required documentation and vehicle inspections.

• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and infection control standards.

• Participate in required trainings and support team operations.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.

• Previous transportation or healthcare experience preferred.

• Minimum age of 25 years old for insurance purposes.

• Current valid Driver’s License issued by Louisiana or Mississippi based on state of residence.

• Clean DMV driving record required

• Must successfully complete company-provided Defensive Driving Course, vehicle orientation, and vehicle skills checklist.

• Ability to work professionally and compassionately with individuals experiencing mental health challenges.
