Musculoskeletal Radiologist opportunity in Phoenix! The Phoenix VA Radiology Service is seeking a Board‑Certified Musculoskeletal Radiologist with a combination of general radiology skills. New Fellows and 2025 graduates are encouraged to apply. The role will split time between musculoskeletal (60%) and general radiology (40%) at the Phoenix VA Health Care System Medical Center, 650 E. Indian School Road, Phoenix, AZ. Perform joint injections, arthrograms, and joint aspirations. Provide subspecialty and general radiology coverage for Veterans across central Arizona. Collaborate with other subspecialists and understand their services and patient flow. Contribute to teaching of radiology residents and other trainees, including students, residents, and fellows. Present at conferences, didactics, tumor boards, and specialty meetings. Optionally engage in research projects. ABR‑certified (or ABR‑eligible) with additional fellowship training in musculoskeletal imaging preferred. Proficient in performing joint injections, arthrograms, joint aspirations. Experienced and competent in clinical radiology with understanding of subspecialty functions. Valid medical license in at least one U.S. state, active and unrestricted. Maintain all required certifications, including BLS. Board eligibility for musculoskeletal imaging preferred. U.S. citizenship required (non‑citizens may be appointed only if no qualified citizens available). Work schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Competitive salary up to $400,000 annually plus annual performance bonus and regular salary increases. Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP): up to $200,000 student loan repayment. Sign‑in bonus may be available for highly qualified candidates. Paid Time Off: 50–55 days per year (26 days annual leave, 13 days sick leave, 11 paid federal holidays, plus up to 5 days paid absence for CME). Retirement: Traditional federal pension (5‑year vesting) and federal 401(k) with up to 5% VA contribution. Insurance: Federal health, vision, dental, term life, long‑term care (many federal programs can be carried into retirement). CME: possible $1,000 annual reimbursement. Malpractice coverage: free liability protection with tail coverage. Contract: No physician employment contract and no restrictions on moonlighting. Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Osteopathic Medicine (DO) or equivalent. Full and unrestricted license from any U.S. state or territory. Active, unrestricted, and current license.
