Tax Manager

We are seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join our leadership team. This role is ideal for a seasoned, client-focused professional with 10+ years of public accounting experience who is ready to take on a high impact position in a firm that values technical excellence, entrepreneurial thinking, and strong client relationships.
Responsibilities
- Supervise tax engagements in accordance with firm and professional standards
- Plan and schedule tax engagements with clients and internal resources
- Build and maintain direct client relationships
- Perform detailed reviews of tax returns and workpapers
- Conduct tax research projects
- Communicate with clients and team members on project status, opportunities, and issues
- Provide training, direction, and oversight to team members
- Maintain technical expertise across relevant tax areas and industry specializations
- Build new client relationships and manage existing book of business, including budgets and production goals
- Support consulting and special projects as requested by management and clients
Qualifications
- BSBA in Accounting
- CPA certification required
- 10+ years of experience in public accounting
- Ability to manage multiple client engagements and meet deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Organized, detail-oriented, and client-focused
- Experience with QuickBooks, ProSystem fx Tax, Microsoft Word and Excel
