Work you'll do As a Technical Architect on the Banking and Capital Markets team, focusing on Commercial Banking, Retail Banking and Payments, you will be responsible for: Leading technical architecture and solution design for commercial banking, retail banking, and payments engagementsTranslating business requirements into detailed technical blueprints, including application architecture, integration patterns, data flows, and implementation approachesGuiding engineering teams through technical standards, design reviews, and build activities to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performance platformsCollaborating with client and Deloitte stakeholders across business, product, technology, operations, and delivery teams to align architecture decisions with program objectivesSupporting technology transformation initiatives by evaluating solution options, shaping implementation roadmaps, and driving execution across workstreams A successful candidate would possess these skills: Ability to work independently and collaborate as part of a teamEffective written and verbal communication skillsMeticulous attention to detail and quality of work productAbility to build and sustain professional relationshipsAbility to lead projects or workstreamsAbility to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced and dynamic environmentStrong interpersonal skills and professional demeanorAbility to meet deadlinesAbility to mentor and provide clear guidance to others The team Our Industry Solutions offering provides verticalized solutions that transform how clients sell products, deliver services, generate growth, and execute mission-critical operations. The Banking and Capital Markets sector serves universal and regional banks, capital markets and securities firms, and payment networks with U.S. operations. The team focuses on delivering customer insights, growth and digital strategies, operational transformation, human capital, and technology modernization services to bank executives. We help clients address regulatory reform, technological modernization, competitive dynamics, and market growth opportunities. Qualifications Required: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, or a related field6+ years of experience in technical architecture, lead engineering, or software development3+ years of experience as a technical lead or architect on enterprise-scale initiatives from architecture through deployment3+ years of experience designing and building systems using microservices and event-driven architectures, including at least 1 production implementationAbility to travel 50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future. Preferred: Advanced degree or certification in business, engineering, project management, process improvement, or lean methodologiesExperience across payments, core banking, account management, card management, and integration architecturesExperience with Representational State Transfer (REST), gRPC, Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)Experience with structured query language (SQL), NoSQL, data modeling, and application or cloud security practicesExperience producing technical artifacts, including data models and architecture diagramsExperience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD), DevOps, and infrastructure automation The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $148,200 to $292,300. You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
