Delivery Driver

Community Options, Inc. is a national non‑profit agency providing services to individuals with disabilities in 12 states. We are seeking a Delivery Driver in Hillsborough , NJ. The Delivery Driver loads and transports arrangements to customer's homes, business, municipal buildings, hospitals and any location required by the business, using a company vehicle. The Delivery Driver also transports consumers to and from program and acts as a stand in for program transportation as needed. Responsibilities Load and transport flowers arrangements to delivery sites, as indicated by business needs Transport Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities to and from day program Assist individuals with getting on and off vans or vehicles Ensure the safety of Individuals and maintain a safe environment Perform any tasks needed by shop involving driving, including but not limited to bank visits, supply pick up or delivery and transportation of consumers to and from homes Attend staff meetings as determined by supervisor Attend any necessary trainings Employees must cooperate with the licensee and department staff in any inspection, inquiry or investigation Additional tasks and responsibilities may be assigned High School diploma or equivalent Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record The ability to exercise good judgment and remain calm in a crisis situation The ability to interact with a wide range of people Ability to establish a comfortable and supportive relationship with consumers Ability to read and write English Ability to lift 50 pounds Working Conditions Employee travels utilizing your own vehicle or company provided vehicles Frequent lifting, stretching, and other physical exertion May occasionally assist with wheelchair transfer of non-ambulatory consumers May be exposed to various medical conditions and communicable diseases May be exposed to various plants and pollens Flexible schedule as determined by supervisor Why Community Options?
