Role Summary This role drives HSSEQ programs within the Americas Service business unit (Hydratight), ensuring safety, health, and environmental integrity across multi‑site operations. The position is ideal for early‑stage HSSE professionals and welcomes candidates with experience in hazardous industries beyond oil and gas. Key responsibilities include daily leadership of HSSE programs, advising business leaders, and driving injury & illness prevention for fixed locations and field service technicians across the region. Job Duties and Responsibilities Proactively seek to avoid HSSE hazards by promoting safety and environmental awareness, and by developing and rolling out company‑wide initiatives. Train new employees on safety, environmental and security issues and manage the training management system and training matrices. Ensure all tasks are furnished with suitable hazard/risk assessments, documented and communicated to appropriate personnel. Contribute to the development and execution of site‑specific HSSE plans, including KPI scorecards. Develop and improve management system elements—policies, procedures, and work instructions—to reflect changing operational circumstances, compliance requirements, and best practices. Lead, conduct and participate in incident learning teams, using root‑cause analysis tools, and draft and distribute lessons‑learned reports. Facilitate communication through site and regional HSSEQ forums/meetings, and drive participation through active Safety Committees on each site. Assist with drafting compliance reports, including OSHA, EPA & DNR documentation. Maintain and implement a robust Internal Assurance Audit Program in each HSSEQ area, ensuring compliance with legal requirements, company standards and ISO/IEC standards. Drive the solicitation and support implementation of actions and initiatives that prevent injuries, illness, and damage to the environment. Actively participate in HSSE Management Reviews to drive continuous improvement. Perform security assessments as required. Maintain the OSHENS Data Management System as required. Undertake regular site visits and support senior management with planned site inspections. Use the VOC to develop relationships with key customers, ensuring expectations are met. Ensure Corrective Action Requests (CARs) are raised, investigated by the relevant team, and closed out timely for all quality issues within scope. Maintain all elements of ISO/IEC 17025 certification, including development of technical documentation and processes for tool calibration laboratories. Skills and Competencies Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint; SharePoint experience preferred. Strong communication skills—written and oral—capable of influencing others. Ability to execute multiple tasks to deadlines. Highly detail‑oriented with excellent organizational skills. Independent decision‑making and problem‑solving abilities. Team‑orientation in a fast‑paced corporate environment. Knowledge of EPA and government environmental regulations. Knowledge of OSHA regulations. Understanding of lean tools such as error proofing, 5S, takt time, Kanban, and standard work. Passion for the health, safety, and security of employees and the environment. Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree from a four‑year college or university, or equivalent vocational qualification. Minimum 3 years as a safety professional. Must be able to obtain and maintain TWIC card, DISA status and other required credentials for customer job sites. Preferred experience in service, nuclear, power generation, oil and gas, or tool rental facilities. Preferred Qualifications OSHA 501 Certificate Lead Incident Investigator – Kelvin TOPSET Lead Auditor – ISO 9001/ISO 45001/ISO/IEC 17025 Graduate Safety Professional (GSP) or Certified Safety Professional (CSP) JSA or Behavioral Based Safety Training Certification Physical Demands Employee may have to lift documents or work materials up to 30 pounds. Ability to walk/climb to varied work locations, travel by air or auto to remote sites, and work in front of a computer for long periods. Flexibility to travel within the US 25–40% of the time. Work Environment Primary work environment is a temperature‑controlled office setting; site visits may involve respiratory, hearing, and fall protection. Noise levels are low in the office and elevated on job sites. Shift Monday – Friday; evenings and weekends may be required.
