This role offers the opportunity to work in a clinical setting in the region, providing essential support to laboratory operations and fostering trust with patients during vital procedures.– Draw blood samples from patients of all ages, including pediatric and geriatric populations, following established safety and accuracy standards.– Prepare specimens for laboratory testing promptly and correctly to ensure quality results.– Explain procedures to patients, creating an atmosphere of trust and confidence.– Maintain accurate records and documentation related to specimen collection and processing.– Perform daily tasks independently with minimal supervision, ensuring timely completion of assigned duties.– Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a professional environment in the clinical setting.– Demonstrate leadership behaviors by promoting process excellence and confidentiality.– Proficiency in phlebotomy techniques, including pediatric and geriatric blood draws.– Ability to perform quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.– Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.– Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain procedures clearly.– Experience with keyboard and data entry tasks related to specimen processing.– Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.– High school diploma or equivalent required.– Phlebotomy certification preferred; in California, Nevada, and Washington, certification is required.– Medical assistant or paramedic training is preferred.– Minimum of 6 months of related work experience; more than one year of phlebotomy experience is a plus.– Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime based on staffing needs.– Good interpersonal skills to ensure patient comfort and safety.This is a rewarding role for dedicated professionals passionate about patient care and specimen collection.
