Orthodontic Assistant (RDA or OA)

Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Orthodontic Assistant (RDA or OA) to support our orthodontic team part-time. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn. As an Orthodontic Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth patient experience and assisting with various clinical procedures. Key Responsibilities: - Assist the orthodontist during various procedures, including placing and removing braces, applying archwires, and taking impressions.

• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment in compliance with infection control standards.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and care for orthodontic appliances.
• Manage patient records, including taking and documenting medical histories and treatment records.
• Ensure that the treatment area is clean, organized, and properly stocked with necessary supplies.
• Schedule patient appointments and coordinate with the front office staff.
• Handle patient inquiries and provide excellent customer service.
• Maintain a positive and professional demeanor while working with patients, families, and team members.

Qualifications: - Current certification as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or Orthodontic Assistant (OA).

• Previous experience in an orthodontic practice preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic knowledge of dental and orthodontic terminology and procedures.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Proficient in utilizing dental software and technology.
