About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse - Med/Surg Profession: RN Specialty: Med/Surg Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night shift Hours per Shift: 36-48 hours Experience: Preferred in an acute care facility License: Required RN licensure in the state of practice Certifications: Required BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications Must-Have: - Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred - Acute care facility experience preferred Description: Delivers coordinated nursing care for patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervises and directs the activities of assigned nursing staff. Coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking and independent judgment. Collects relevant data pertinent to patients' health or situations. Analyzes assessment data to determine diagnosis and care issues. Develops a plan that prescribes interventions to attain outcomes. Implements the plan and coordinates care delivery. Employs strategies to promote health and a safe environment. Evaluates progress toward attaining outcomes. Identifies outcomes for patients or patient situations. Collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare providers in providing care in a safe and humane environment. Provides learning opportunities for patients, family members, and team members. Directly provides health information to patients, families, and the treatment team. Participates in discharge planning to provide continuity of care. Delegates appropriately and coordinates duties of healthcare team members. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Commits to the safety and wellbeing of all associates and patients through required vaccinations. Seeks to ensure a safe and healing environment for all.
