Your Role as an Elementary Teacher Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to design and implement appropriate services for students. Classroom Leadership – Provide guidance, leadership, and direction within the classroom. Teach Multiple Subjects – May be responsible for teaching multiple subject areas, depending on the needs of the students. Maintain Student Confidentiality – Ensure student confidentiality by adhering to agency policy, FERPA, HIPAA privacy regulations, and confidentiality standards. Advocate for Students – Ensure compliance with educational laws and advocate for the rights and needs of students with disabilities. Required Qualifications Must hold an active PA teaching certification, such as a Private Academic Certificate, or a Pennsylvania Instructional Certification.
