Occupational Health Registered Nurse

The Occupational Health Registered Nurse is responsible for maintaining their professional skills and advancing their level of expertise in the field of Occupational Health & Safety and case management to provide professional health service to clients in accordance with company specific and statutory regulations.

Essential duties and responsibilities include providing professional nursing care within the Occupational Health Department, assisting at all Occupational Health, Employee Direct Care (EDC), and on-site locations, performing employee health assessments, screenings, immunizations, and wellness services, assisting with pre-employment physicals, return-to-work evaluations, and medical surveillance programs, assisting with on-site events, health fairs, and employee engagement events, conducting occupational health testing including hearing and vision screenings, respirator fit testing, drug and alcohol screening, pulmonary function testing (as applicable), assessing and treating workplace injuries while coordinating follow-up care, administering medications, vaccines, and other treatments within scope of practice, assisting providers with examinations, procedures, and occupational medicine services, educating employees on injury prevention, workplace safety, wellness, and health promotion, coordinating workers' compensation care with employers, providers, and insurance representatives, maintaining accurate documentation within Epic and other electronic health record systems, ensuring compliance with OSHA, CDC, HIPAA, and occupational health regulations, participating in quality improvement initiatives and department projects, maintaining clinical supplies and equipment, and delivering exceptional customer service while representing Wilson Health with professionalism and compassion.

Qualifications include a graduate with a minimum of an Associate's Degree from an accredited Registered Nursing School, current license as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Ohio, current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the State of Ohio, and current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or obtained within the required timeframe).

Preferred experience includes occupational health, employee health, urgent care, primary care, outpatient nursing, workers' compensation, employee wellness programs, and occupational medicine.
