HR Generalist | Rockford, MI

Salary Range: $59,000 - $86,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We collaborate with manufacturing companies in the Rockford region seeking HR Generalists. These employers partner with us because they want real insight into candidates-not just resumes. By joining our network, you gain access to roles worth considering.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee full-cycle recruitment for production and office staff, including job posting, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
• Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, 401(k), and leave management, ensuring compliance and accurate record-keeping.
• Provide HR support and guidance to employees and managers on company policies, procedures, and employee relations issues.
• Manage HRIS data entry and maintenance, ensuring accuracy and generating reports as needed.
• Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with labor laws and company objectives.
• Coordinate and conduct employee training programs, including new hire orientation and ongoing professional development.
• Support performance management processes, including performance reviews, goal setting, and disciplinary actions.
• Conduct HR investigations and resolve employee grievances in a fair and timely manner.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 3+ years of HR Generalist experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Demonstrated knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations (e.g., FMLA, ADA, FLSA, OSHA).
• Experience with HRIS systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with HRIS implementation or optimization
• SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification
• Proficiency in a second language (e.g., Spanish, Mandarin)
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher certification
