Network Strategist- GIS

DescriptionWe are seeking a GIS Data Analyst to support market expansion and network growth initiatives through advanced geospatial research and data-driven market analysis. This role will focus on identifying expansion opportunities, optimizing network planning decisions, and delivering actionable insights by integrating geospatial data, Python-based analytics, and SQL-driven data extraction. Conduct geospatial analysis to support market expansion, site selection, and network growth strategiesDevelop and maintain spatial models to assess market potential, competitive coverage, demand density, and network gapsAnalyze demographic, infrastructure, commercial, and geographic datasets to inform expansion prioritizationDesign and automate analytical workflows using Python for geospatial processing, modeling, and visualizationPerform data extraction, transformation, and analysis using SQL from enterprise databases and data warehousesCreate maps, dashboards, and analytical reports that clearly communicate insights to business and planning stakeholdersPartner with strategy, engineering, finance, and market planning teams to translate analytical findings into actionable recommendationsSupport ad-hoc research requests related to new markets, network upgrades, and long-term expansion planningEnsure data accuracy, documentation, and reproducibility of analytical methodologiesRequired Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, Data Science, Urban Planning, Engineering, or a related field3-5+ years of experience in GIS analysis, geospatial research, or spatial data analyticsStrong proficiency in Python, including libraries such as GeoPandas, Pandas, Shapely, or similarSolid SQL skills for querying and analyzing large relational datasetsHands-on experience with GIS platforms (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS, PostGIS)Experience working with spatial datasets such as demographic data, boundaries, road networks, coverage maps, or infrastructure layersStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detailAbility to communicate complex spatial findings to non-technical audiencesSkillsPython, Gis, Sql server, User research, Gis analysis, Telecom, strategy, HFC, Fiber, Market Planning, Business outcomes, network engineering, Sql, Data, Data analysis, Arcgis, Geographic information system, AnalysisAdditional Skills & QualificationsWe are seeking 3 Network Strategists, having experience with GIS Data and network planning for cable operators. Must have experience with Cable operator. They will be focused on building business outcomes from Customer Data and Market data, focused on go to market planning for network expansion. The focus is on ROI, cost per passing, competition penetration, subscriber opportunity. Experience presenting these findings to leadership, ability to craft the story the data is telling.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Dallas, TX.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $60.00 - $85.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
