Nurses in the critical care setting provide direct care for patients who require complex assessments and interventions. The critical care nurse leads and participates in a collaborative interprofessional team to create safe, respectful, healing and caring environments with a goal of ensuring optimal outcomes. Critical care nurses are required to refine their assessment skills while blending in data obtained from a variety of invasive and noninvasive monitoring technologies to care for acutely and/or chronically ill or injured patients.Education QualificationsBachelor's Degree Bachelors of Science: Nursing (BSN) PreferredSkills and AbilitiesDemonstrates awareness and sensitivity to rights of patient/significant other, as identified within the institution. (Required proficiency)Licenses and CertificationsRegistered Nurse - KSBN A multistate license with the ability to practice within the State of Kansas is also accepted.
