RN - ICU Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 19:00 - 07:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years current acute care ICU experience License: Active RN license Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH preferred or nice to have Must-Have: Candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. Minimum of 1 year current acute care ICU experience ACLS, BLS & NIH certifications Description:This position involves providing critical care to adult patients in an intensive care unit.The unit typically has 30 beds and a staff of 57.On the night shift, there is 1 charge nurse with a ratio of 1 RN to 2-3 patients.Patient ratios may increase due to overflow situations.Equipment used includes Lenet beds and GE monitors with EMR using Meditech.The ideal candidate will be flexible and willing to change assignments mid-shift to accommodate patient acuity.Procedures performed on the unit include rapid intubation, chest tubes, and external ventricular drains (EVD).Candidates with neuro certification and neuro or trauma experience are preferred.The unit has nurse externs available to assist the staff.This is a great opportunity for those looking to enhance their skills in a challenging and supportive environment. #J-18808-Ljbffr Cynet HealthStaff
