Cyber Security Analyst

One of the largest family-owned manufacturing companies is looking for a Cybersecurity Administrator to join their team! Our client is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst to support security operations across our Microsoft-centric enterprise environment. This role is responsible for monitoring security events, investigating threats, coordinating remediation efforts, and helping strengthen the organization's overall cybersecurity posture. Contract Duration: 6-Month Contract-to-Hire Opportunity Required Skills & Experience 3+ years of cybersecurity, security operations, or incident response experience. Experience with Microsoft Defender XDR or Microsoft 365 Defender. Experience investigating security incidents and performing threat analysis. Understanding of Microsoft Entra ID, Conditional Access, and endpoint security. Knowledge of TCP/IP networking fundamentals and vulnerability management. What You Will Be Doing Daily Responsibilities Monitor, investigate, and respond to security alerts and incidents. Conduct threat hunting using Microsoft Defender XDR and Advanced Hunting. Analyze endpoint, identity, email, and network security events. Support incident response, containment, recovery, and documentation. Review vulnerability assessments, prioritize findings, and coordinate remediation with IT teams. Monitor Thinkst Canary alerts and assist with ThreatLocker policy validation.
