Required Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older at the time of hire.
• High school diploma or equivalent, and TWO (2) YEARS’ experience with youth OR THIRTY (30) SEMESTER HOURS of college credit AND ONE (1) YEAR OF EXPERIENCE with youth OR AN ASSOCIATE’S DEGREE.
• Must have Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification and 1 year experience.
• Valid Colorado Driver’s License (or ability to obtain within 30 days) with 5+ years of driving experience.
• Pass FBI, CBI, and TRAILS record checks; flexibility in scheduling.
• Must be willing and able to restrain/hold/transport youth as required by the Behavior Intervention Plan.
• Must be able to work the swing shift, Monday–Friday. Must be flexible in schedule.
• Must be able to Train staff on client behaviors.
• Must Develop and train staff on behavior plans
• Must be able to work at assigned locations, including home, school, and community settings.
• Must be able to follow written protocols, organizational policies, and BACB ethical standards.
• Must be committed to ongoing training and professional development.
• Provide direct supervision in 1:1 and group settings utilizing a combination of intensive teaching and natural environment training arrangements.

Job Summary

Registered Behavior Technician implements Applied Behavioral Analysis ("ABA") programs, interventions, and supports that focus on decreasing maladaptive behaviors and increasing social, communication, and adaptive skills with youth. This would be done in a direct one-to-to setting and/or with another staff to model de-escalation, assistance, training, and support to staff members. It is expected that this person is familiar with the governing rules, regulations within the residential setting, as well as the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) Ethical Compliance Codes.

Pay Range

$22.00 – $26.00 an hour based off years of experience and education

Shift

Swing shifts include weekend coverage as part of the schedule.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Implement prescribed ABA programs, behavioral interventions, and behavior reduction strategies.
• Provide direct support and supervision in 1:1 and group settings.
• Model appropriate behavioral strategies, de-escalation techniques, and safe learning environments for staff.
• Train and provide feedback to staff on behavior plans and client behaviors.
• Collect, record, and summarize accurate data on youth behaviors and progress.
• Communicate changes or concerns regarding maladaptive behaviors to the BCBA and treatment team.
• Monitor implementation of behavioral programs to ensure treatment integrity and consistency.
• Collaborate with youth, families, caregivers, co-workers, outside professionals, and other members of the treatment team.
• Participate in required BCBA supervision and RBT competency training.
• Maintain youth confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment.
• Support a physically and psychologically safe, trauma-informed environment.
• Maintain current knowledge through required training and professional development.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

BASIC & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to sit on the floor, stand, kneel, squat, crawl, and maintain various positions for extended periods.
• Must be able to safely participate in community activities with youth.
• Must be willing and able to use quick body movements and participate in restraint/holding/transporting youth as required.
• Must have the ability to use computers and electronic devices for data collection.
• Must be able to receive and understand detailed verbal and written instructions.
