Bartender PositionPay rate: $15 / hrThe RoleWe are seeking knowledgeable bartenders to craft and serve premium beverages at high-end private events, including galas, and corporate functions. The ideal candidate is skilled in classic and contemporary mixology, exhibits graceful guest interaction, and maintains the highest standards of service, cleanliness, and professionalism. This role is vital to creating an elevated bar experience that complements all events at the National Medal of Honor Museum.Primary Responsibilities:Bartenders are responsible for positive guest interactions while accurately mixing and serving beverages to guests and servers in a friendly and efficient manner.Utilize high quality spirits, liqueurs, fruits, fresh herbs and spices to create sensational drinks according to standardized recipes and guest preferences.Set up and breakdown full-service bar stations for catered events, ensuring all tools, ingredients, and supplies are organized and ready for service.Greet guests, take beverage orders from the restaurant servers or directly from guestsMix drinks, cocktails and other bar beverages as ordered and in compliance with company standardsMaintain bottles and glasses in an attractive and functional manner to support efficient drink preparation and promotion of beveragesProvide information on wine characteristics, evaluate guests' needs, make appropriate suggestions and serve wine using proper wine service techniquesWork with culinary team to create mixers and garnishes for beveragesCheck identification of guests to verify age requirements for purchase of alcoholHandle an assigned bank and follow all cash handling proceduresCollect payment for drinks served and balance all receiptsEnsure that the assigned bar area is fully equipped with tools and products needed for mixing beverages and serving guests, prepare inventory or purchase requisitions as needed to replenish suppliesKeep work area clean and organizedAssist with organizing Catering Storage AreasAttend scheduled event meetings as neededPerform general cleaning tasks to adhere to health and safety standards.Complete other duties as assigned by event supervisor and captainsSkills, Experience, and Qualifications:Ability to work long hours and flexible shifts including mornings, nights, weekends and holidaysExperience as a bartender for at least two yearsExceptional knowledge of wine, spirits, beer, and craft cocktails, including presentation and service techniques.Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage guests respectfully and appropriately in high-end settings.TABC license requiredMust be able to create and serve drinks in a timely mannerMust maintain personal hygiene and a well-groomed appearance standardAbility to work independently or in a team during set up and execution of serviceMust be detail-oriented, reliable, and committed to delivering an exceptional guest experience.Ability to effectively listen and take directions from supervisor Must have excellent knowledge of beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations and etiquette.Ability to read, speak and write English Language to communicate with guests.Ability to transport up to 50 lbs. on a continuous basis.Must have a working email to communicate with your managers.The National Medal of Honor Museum FoundationThe National Medal of Honor Museum Foundation, based in Arlington, Texas, is dedicated to preserving and honoring the stories and legacy of Medal of Honor recipients.
