Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring CA licensure, NRP, and Level II NICU experience.

Details

• Work in the Labor and Delivery unit of an acute care medical center with Level II intensive care nursery services
• Labor nursing experience required with Postpartum experience preferred
• Level 2 NICU experience required for day shift
• Day shift, 12-hour shifts from approximately 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM
• Schedule of 36 or 48 hours per week
• Eggplant colored scrubs required; provided if needed

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NRP
• Intermediate Fetal Monitoring experience required
• NICU experience required
• Experienced labor nurse required
• BSN preferred
• Acute care facility experience preferred

Additional Information

• Deliver coordinated nursing care for assigned patients according to established standards and the nursing process
• Supervise and direct activities of assigned nursing staff and coordinate care across disciplines
• Collect and analyze patient assessment data to determine diagnosis and care plans
• Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team to provide safe, healing, and humane care
• Provide patient and family education and participate in discharge planning
• Delegate duties appropriately and coordinate care among healthcare team members
• Accepts local candidates at the same rate as travel positions
• Candidates with more than 5 days of requested RTO will be automatically declined
• Candidates with any prior adverse licensure action will not be considered
