Nature of Work Disclaimer-this position will be considered classified-exempt and "at will". The Transportation Engineering Technician Associate will assist the District 4 Finals Supervisor and Construction Office Manager with tasks such as reviewing incoming estimates and checking funding in the Oasis computer program on construction and resurfacing projects, review them for accuracy and communicating with the West Virginia Division of Highways (WVDOH) Contract Administration, Contractors, and Consultants on projects to resolve related concerns, will be responsible for submitting Change Requests in the computer system (HUB) to alter funding, close the project, enter work start date or extend project as needed, and be responsible for reviewing and submitting Subcontractor Requests from the main Contractor on projects. Will perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Preference may be given to Candidates with these qualifications** Training/Education Certification as a Transportation Engineering Technician Associate by the West Virginia Transportation Engineering Technician Certification Board. OR Pre-Certification as a Transportation Engineering Technician Associate by the West Virginia Transportation Engineering Technician Certification Board. Required Experience None required. Additional Requirement Travel may be required; therefore, a valid driver's license is required.
