Hospice Registered Nurse

Role: Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) for part-time weekend on-call coverage in surrounding counties. Responsibilities: Provide patient care applying nursing theories and concepts, ensuring documentation meets reimbursement guidelines. Coordinate physical care with patients, families, physicians, and the hospice team. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and agency personnel. Participate in interdisciplinary team (IDT) meetings and quality reviews. Qualifications & Skills Current RN licensure in the practice state. Graduation from an approved nursing program with at least two years of clinical experience, including one year in hospice preferred. Knowledge of home health and hospice care frameworks, nursing practice act, agency policies, and reimbursement guidelines. 12 hours of continuing education annually. CPR certification. Willingness to travel and participate in weekend, evening, and holiday on-call duties. Additional requirements include background checks, a drug-free workplace, and adherence to agency policies.
