About the Position

Job Title: Ultrasound Technologist Profession: Allied Specialty: Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year in Ultrasound License: ARDMS OB certification required Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: - Experience with the specified patient population - Ability to work independently - Proficient in obtaining nuchal translucency in the first trimester - Knowledge of 4-chamber heart views, LVOT, RVOT, SVC-IVC, and 3-vessel view Description: The Ultrasound Technologist will work in an outpatient setting focusing on obstetrics and gynecology. The role involves performing various ultrasound scans, including routine anatomy scans and evaluations for obesity in pregnancy. The technologist will see approximately 13 patients per day. There are 3 ultrasound rooms available for use. Support within the department includes departmental leadership, nurses, peer sonographers, receptionists, medical assistants, and provider support. There is not a radiologist on-site; however, MFM doctors are available at all clinics, with some scheduling adjustments on Thursday mornings. Technology used includes GE ultrasound machines and electronic medical records systems. The role may require floating to different clinics as needed, based on operational demands. The schedule typically runs Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Scrub color is grey.
