About DeKalb Dental Group Dekalb Dental Group is looking for a fun, friendly Dental Hygienist to join the team! Join a 17‑person team that thrives on collaboration, communication and community. The practice features 13 operatories in a state‑of‑the‑art facility, hosting 2 doctors and 5 hygienists (including this role!). It is located near the Northwestern Medicine Kishwaukee Hospital, and down the road from Northern Illinois University and downtown DeKalb. Schedule Monday 7:30am-5:00pm Tuesday 7:30am-5:00pm Wednesday 7:30am-6:00pm Thursday 7:30am-4:00pm Consistent patient schedule: average approx. 6‑8 patients a day (60‑minute recare, 90‑minute new patient appointment). SRP appointments are 60‑90 minutes, flexible on hygienist need. Minimum Qualifications Current dental hygienist license in Illinois Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene (where required) Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, patient screening and medical history documentation CPR Certification Preferred Experience New graduates and experienced hygienists welcome Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x‑rays and electronic medical record systems Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet patients’ needs and provide preventative care and overall dental health maintenance Clinical flexibility as required by the office Physical Requirements Ability to perform essential duties as deemed necessary by the Office/Doctor/Heartland Dental with or without reasonable accommodation.
