Environmental Health & Safety Manager

EHS ManagerPosition OverviewWe are seeking a hands-on EHS Manager to lead environmental, health and safety programs at our machining and foundry operations. The EHS Manager will develop and implement EHS strategies, ensure regulatory compliance, drive continuous improvement in safety performance, and support AS9100 and OSHA requirements. The role partners with operations, maintenance and engineering to reduce risk, oversee incident investigation, training and auditing, and promote a strong safety culture across the facility.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, implement and maintain EHS management systems, policies and procedures aligned with company standards and applicable regulations (OSHA, environmental requirements and industry best practices).Lead facility EHS compliance programs including permits, reporting, inspections and corrective action tracking to ensure environmental and regulatory compliance.Conduct regular site audits, risk assessments and safety inspections for machining, casting and foundry operations; identify hazards and implement mitigation measures.Manage incident investigation and root cause analysis for near-misses, injuries and environmental releases; implement corrective and preventive actions and track effectiveness.Provide EHS training and awareness programs for employees and contractors, including new hire orientation, job-specific safety training and emergency response drills.Support AS9100-related EHS requirements and participate in internal and external quality and regulatory audits to ensure compliance with customer and certification standards.Collaborate with production, maintenance and engineering to evaluate processes, recommend engineering controls, PPE and safe work procedures for machining, casting and foundry activities.Monitor occupational health programs, industrial hygiene monitoring and controls to minimize exposures and protect worker health.Maintain accurate EHS records, prepare management reports and present performance metrics and improvement plans to leadership.Drive continuous improvement initiatives and lead cross-functional teams to reduce incidents, waste and environmental footprint.QualificationsProven experience as an EHS Manager or similar role in manufacturing environments; experience with machining, casting or foundry operations is highly desirable.Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, environmental compliance requirements and industrial hygiene principles.Familiarity with AS9100 requirements and supporting EHS elements in quality management systems is a plus.Demonstrated experience developing and implementing EHS management systems, conducting audits, incident investigations and corrective actions.Certifications such as CHST, CSP, CIH or NEBOSH are preferred but not required.Excellent communication, training and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.Analytical mindset with experience using incident and performance metrics to drive improvement.Ability to manage multiple priorities, lead projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams.Bachelors degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Engineering, Environmental Science or related field preferred, or equivalent experience.BenefitsHealth, dental, and vision insurance401k with company matchPaid time off Paid holidays
