Warehouse Worker/Driver

This role combines hands-on warehouse operations with driving responsibilities to support a busy produce distribution environment. You work a steady Monday through Friday day shift from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., focusing on pulling orders, preparing products for shipment, loading trucks, and providing backup driving support as needed. You handle pallet jacks and rider jacks regularly and spend a significant portion of your shift working in cooler and freezer areas.

• Pull customer orders accurately from warehouse inventory to support the produce department.
• Prepare orders for shipping by staging, wrapping, labeling, and organizing pallets for outbound loads.
• Load trucks safely and efficiently using pallet jacks and rider jacks, ensuring secure placement of products.
• Operate pallet jacks, rider jacks, and order pickers in a safe and controlled manner throughout the shift.
• Work in cooler and freezer environments for the majority of the day while maintaining productivity and safety.
• Assist with receiving activities, including unloading incoming shipments and organizing products in the warehouse.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in all warehouse and loading dock spaces.
• Train as a backup driver and support delivery operations as needed after conversion to a permanent role.
• Follow all safety procedures and warehouse guidelines, including proper handling of produce and frozen goods.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate order fulfillment and shipping schedules.

• Proven experience operating pallet jacks in a warehouse environment.
• Proven experience operating rider jacks for material handling and order picking.
• Hands-on experience working as an order picker in a distribution or warehouse setting.
• Ability to work comfortably in cold environments, including coolers and freezers, for the majority of the shift.
• Experience in warehouse operations such as order pulling, loading, and receiving.
• Willingness to train as a backup driver and support delivery operations.
• Comfort with physical work, including lifting, moving, and staging products throughout the shift.

• Previous box truck or delivery driving experience is preferred.
• Experience working in produce, freezer, or cold-storage warehouse roles is an advantage.
• Familiarity with picking processes and order fulfillment in a distribution environment.
• Strong attention to detail when pulling and preparing orders.
• Reliable work habits and the ability to follow established procedures and safety practices.

You work primarily in a cold-storage warehouse that includes cooler and freezer areas, spending much of your shift in low-temperature conditions while handling produce and frozen goods. The role follows a Monday through Friday day shift from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., providing a predictable schedule. Daily work involves using pallet jacks, rider jacks, and order pickers to move and stage products, as well as loading and unloading trucks at the dock. The facility is in a growth phase, with expanding operations in the Puget Sound area, and emphasizes safe equipment use, organized workflows, and efficient handling of perishable products. Dress appropriately for a cold environment, including layered clothing suitable for cooler and freezer work.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of SEATTLE, WA.

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr.
