Wire Assembler
The Wire Assembler will build and wire electrical power and control panels using detailed schematics, wiring diagrams, and work instructions. This role focuses on precise point-to-point wiring, clean cable routing, and accurate installation of electrical components to meet quality and safety standards. The position operates on a first shift schedule, Monday through Thursday.
Responsibilities
- Wire electrical equipment, power panels, and control panels according to schematics, wiring diagrams, and work instructions.
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, and blueprints to perform accurate point-to-point wiring.
- Perform point-to-point wiring of electrical panels and components, ensuring correct terminations and connections.
- Mount electrical components using appropriate hardware in accordance with layout dimensions and specifications.
- Route, bundle, and organize wires and cables cleanly and neatly to meet quality and workmanship standards.
- Cut, strip, and crimp wires using hand tools such as crimpers, cutters, and strippers.
- Follow layout dimensions, wiring diagrams, and specifications accurately to ensure correct panel configuration.
- Perform basic troubleshooting to verify wiring accuracy and correct any wiring errors.
- Use instructions and wiring diagrams to aid in the wiring of panels and electrical assemblies.
- Assemble and terminate wire harnesses and cable assemblies as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area throughout the shift.
- Stand for extended periods while performing wiring, assembly, and inspection tasks.
Essential Skills
- At least 1 year of experience in electrical wiring, panel building, electrical assembly, or similar work.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints.
- Proficiency in point-to-point wiring of electrical panels and components.
- Experience with control panel wiring and panel building.
- Skilled in cutting, stripping, and crimping wires using hand tools such as crimpers, cutters, and strippers.
- Ability to route, bundle, and organize cables and wires cleanly and neatly.
- Competence in wire termination, cable installation, cable assembly, and wiring assembly.
- Ability to follow work instructions, layouts, and wiring diagrams accurately.
- Capability to stand on feet for 8 or more hours per day.
- High school diploma or equivalent education.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in electrical assembly environments, particularly with control panels or wire harness assembly.
- Background in panel wiring, panel building, and panel assembly.
- Familiarity with using wire cutters, wire strippers, and other small hand tools in a production setting.
- Attention to detail and commitment to producing clean, organized wiring to meet quality standards.
- Basic troubleshooting skills to verify wiring accuracy and resolve simple issues.
- Ability to work from schematics, work instructions, and wiring diagrams with minimal supervision.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Longwood, FL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
