Machinist IIOur site in Decatur, TX is seeking a Machinist II to join our team. This role will perform tasks directly related to the machining of graphite, silicon carbides, and other specialty materials.What You'll Do:Work is job oriented, following detailed blueprints, customer specifications, and internal work instructionsOperate hand tools, precision measuring equipment, and computers, (desktop and machine control varieties)Operate 4th & 5th axis mills, live tooling lathes, surface and centerless grinders, cup grinders, bandsaws, and other machining equipmentComplete machining tasks within a customer jobMake complex code adjustments within programCollaborate with programmers on program/fixture creation for new partsCreate hand-typed CNC code (i.e., chip prevention lines, fixturing)Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and colleaguesFollow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and manufacturing guidelines to consistently produce high-quality productsFollow weekly scheduled work to track with on-time shippingMay be tasked with preventative maintenance and housekeeping dutiesComplete miscellaneous tasks as assigned in support of the larger organization and production goalsWhat We Seek:High School Diploma or equivalentPossess math and precision measurement skills and able to read machine drawingsExperience using a CMM (coordinate measuring machine) a plusPossess advanced knowledge of machining methodsAbility to make complex code adjustments within programExperience using programming software a plusKnowledge of advanced Geometric Dimensioning and TolerancingAstute attention to detail to drive Safety and QualityAbility to perform visual checks and handle materials responsibly while wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)Work any shift as required to meet business needsExperience in working in an ISO 9000/14000 environment a plusCandidate must have the capacity to comply with the federally mandated requirements of U.S. export control lawsPhysical Requirements:Completion of pre-employment physical requiredAbility to lift and move up to 50 lbs. as neededCapability to ascend and descend ladders using a three-point gripFrequent tasks will include squatting, kneeling, bending, reaching, and standingOccasional work may be required in confined workspacesAbility to perform hand squeezes requiring force up to 30 lbs.Performing repetitive tasks or motions for extended periodsMaintaining balance and coordination, especially when working on elevated platforms or in areas with uneven surfacesAdequate visual acuity to perform detailed inspections or precision workWhat We Offer:At Entegris, we invest in providing opportunity to our employees and promote from within.
