Job Description & Responsibilities The Store Leader plays a crucial role in closely managing the day‑to‑day operations of a single Gregorys location. The Store Leader is responsible for ensuring our standards of quality, service, and cleanliness are upheld every single day. They act as the first line of defense in managing financial performance, HR concerns, and operational issues that arise in their assigned store, while also serving as a beacon of our culture, coaching and developing all levels of their team to achieve great results and career growth. This role will oversee and manage the following: People Development Ensure new hires/transfers are onboarded properly and thoroughly acclimated in operational, service, and knowledge functions. Conduct evaluations and thorough observations to sustain high standards. Work alongside and develop all levels of the team, providing coaching and development opportunities. Provide continuing education to every team member, driving superior coffee, food, and service knowledge. Identify and develop high‑potential talent for future leadership roles. Operational Standards Ensure all operational and menu standards are executed as planned. Train team on new menu and operational roll‑outs. Maintain Department of Health standards and be prepared for inspections. Perform quality checks on taste, FIFO rotation, and visual appeal. Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and merchandising. Service Standards Lead by example in delivering 5‑star service, with a guest‑first mentality at all times. Co‑manage customer concerns and coach teams to turn issues into positive experiences. Build a strong local presence, gathering customer contact information for marketing. Respond to all online reviews and comments, addressing both positive and negative feedback. Facilities & Maintenance Clean, service, and maintain all equipment. Hold monthly meetings with a clean‑up agenda. React promptly to major facility concerns affecting business. HR Management Ensure compliance with labor laws and updates. Maintain regular one‑on‑one conversations with each employee. Deliver coaching conversations, warnings, and terminations with proper documentation. Financial Performance Manage controllable profit areas: sales, labor, and COGS. Develop customer relationships and revenue drivers beyond the store walls. Create efficient schedules based on business needs using data. Reconcile payroll, ensuring accurate hours and tip distribution. Handle cash drawer counts, safe reconciliation, and bank deposits. Monitor inventory/waste levels and ordering activity to stay within COGS targets. Complete and submit accurate monthly inventory counts. Additional Expectations This is a hands‑on role; the Store Leader works alongside the team to drive revenue, efficiency, and profitability, setting and leading by example. There is no set schedule; the Store Leader uses judgment to be present during times needed, including early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays. Regular communication with the assigned DL or Multi‑Unit Manager keeps them informed of business status and proactive solutions. Actively embody the 12 Leadership Principles and live them daily with teams. Attend company events and encourage team members to participate.
